2 Birthdays, 85 residents and over 200 guests enjoy the party at Autumn Gardens!

On Saturday 22 June over 200 guests enjoyed the 12th anniversary celebrations at Autumn Gardens Nursing and Residential Care Home and Day Care Services in Southgate. This private family run Care Home offers residential, dementia and nursing care to 85 residents. The party was the perfect opportunity to invite residents’ family members into the home to enjoy a traditional Greek style barbecue cooked by volunteers.

Alongside the anniversary celebrations two residents also celebrated their birthdays in the company of friends, family, the Deputy Mayor of Enfield and Bambos Charalambous MP. Both the Deputy Mayor and Bambos Charalambous made speeches commending the Home on the valuable services offered to the community including their Day Care Services for older adults.

Elena Makrides, Autumn Gardens’ Operations Director said “With the continuation of government cuts, social care for the elderly is suffering considerably in Enfield. Our family run facilities in Southgate and Winchmore Hill offer a life-line for local families. The Day Care Service offers respite to local or family carers who are often exhausted by their role which allows little opportunity for rest. Our annual barbecue is an opportunity to share our family ethos and successes with the community at large.”
