Join us in making a difference for those affected by dementia!

Join us this October for a 4km stroll between our care homes in Winchmore Hill and Southgate, starting at 1.30pm on Saturday 7 October 2023, from Anastasia Lodge. Following on from our successful walk in 2019, where we managed to raise an incredible £8,000 in support of the Alzheimer’s Society, we extend a warm invitation to family and friends, including children and dogs, to come and participate in this meaningful journey.

The guided walk is entirely wheelchair accessible and should last around 1 to 1.5 hours. We will pass through the charming Grovelands Park and down along Southgate High Street before concluding our walk at Autumn Gardens, where we invite you to spend the afternoon together with us enjoying refreshments and delicious cakes!

Let’s come together to make a positive impact on the lives of those affected by dementia. Please help us reach our fundraising target and make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Why are we supporting this fantastic cause?

Dementia, a devastating condition affecting millions worldwide, has no cure. Every three minutes, someone in the UK develops dementia and nearly 50 million people globally live with this challenge. Among various types of dementia, Alzheimer’s disease is the most common form. By supporting the Alzheimer’s Society, the only UK charity actively campaigning for change, funding research for a cure, and providing vital support to those living with dementia, your participation will be a significant step towards a brighter future.

*The duration of the walk may vary depending on the walking speed of the guests on the day.
